Which addresses are covered by Addressfinder?
Addressfinder covers the mainland islands of New Zealand and the Chatham Islands.
The service contains all (100%) postal addresses delivered to by New Zealand Post - using the Postal Address File (PAF).
In addition, Addressfinder covers all physical addresses found in the Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) - NZ Street Address (Electoral) file. This additional dataset fills in the missing addresses where New Zealand Post do not deliver, such as the central business districts of major towns and cities, and rural addresses.
We have the ability to add missing addresses into the Addressfinder database. This normally happens when new subdivisions are built but have not yet been included in the NZ Post PAF file. We verify these new addresses before adding them to our database.
To submit a missing address please use our Addressfinder Suggest service.
