What Stake wanted
Digital brokerage service Stake gives its customers direct real-time access to the US stock market. Well established in Australia, Stake is now available in the UK and NZ. As a financial service, Stake needed a trustworthy and cost-effective address verification service. Stake’s technical crew reviewed all the providers in Australia and chose Addressfinder. When they launched in NZ they knew they could trust Addressfinder to verify addresses there too.

How Addressfinder helps
Stake does Know Your Customer checks to meet the requirements of operating as a financial service. Customers need to provide information that allows due diligence to be done. Part of this information includes their street address. That’s where Addressfinder comes in. Each address is verified as it is entered.
There’s a number of additional reasons why having a validated address is important. For example, Stake sometimes uses street addresses to engage with their customers. They recently sent out branded merchandise to their customers’ street address to reward them for referring friends and family. The addresses needed to be correct.
The final word…
With well over a hundred thousand users (and growing fast) Stake is powering through customer verifications. AddressFinder’s API has handled Stake’s growth with ease. Dan says it’s great to work with partners who just do one thing really well. “AddressFinder’s been great, we’re using it more and more and it’s working really well.” He is also pleased with the customer service, “which we haven’t needed much but when we have, Matt’s been very available”.
